Take Control of Social Media with Postling

Postling is a social media management tool for small businesses. Although there are a number of similar services out there, Postling is a powerful competitor that aims to streamline the many facets of social media to make it manageable. Here is a look at some of the features.

Centralized Posting

Postling allows users to publish content to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WordPress, Tumblr and Flickr through one streamlined process. You can schedule your posts, then capture all of the comments left across all of your social media accounts in one place — your Postling dashboard.

Organized Activity Reports and Tracking

With your Postling dashboard, you can not only see comments made on your recent posts, but each comment gives you the option to reply, and all of your comments are threaded, so it’s easy to see the flow of the conversation and join in at any point. Postling will also send you a daily digest email recapping the recent activity for all of your social media accounts.

Through the analytics dashboard, you can also see how effective your social media marketing is by reviewing high-level stats that tell you which posts are most effective and your post-to-comment ratio.

Reputation Management

If you have a business, you want to know when your business is mentioned on the Web. Postling searches Twitter, blogs, mainstream media, RSS feeds and more for your name and brand. You can create your own search terms, then share tweets or writeups that are found right to your blog, Facebook or Twitter.

Multiple Administrators

You can add users who can post to your social media accounts through Postling, with complete control over the accounts they have access to and their posting privileges.

My Take…What’s Yours?

Postling isn’t new on the scene; they have been around since 2009. And it’s clear they understand the need for small businesses to streamline social media so they spend less time figuring out what they need to do and more time getting it done. One of the things I like best is the statistics and reporting, which is vital for effective use of social media. It can be the key to figuring out when and where to post so you’re spending less time on trial and error.

The other function I like is one that all Facebook Page owners can appreciate. You can set up your account to track posts on your Facebook Page and receive instant emails, notifying you when a post has been published, a feature that is desperately needed for Facebook Page owners.

There are also three pricing levels, starting with free, making this an affordable option for businesses tracking multiple social media accounts.

Do you use a social media management tool such as HootSuite, SocialOomph or Tweetdeck? How do you think Postling compares?
